Beechworth Bakery founder, Tom O'Toole, was present in Echuca on Thursday 9 June to hand over the keys to his first franchisees - Glenn and Meredith Sullivan.

For the past 5 years Glenn has worked alongside Tom as the production manager for the famous Beechworth Bakery. In 2004 he was given the opportunity to manage the Echuca Beechworth Bakery. Meredith -though new to the bakery business - is enjoying the opportunity to work with staff and customers. She brings a large measure of enthusiasm to the business.

A little like the Victor Kiam story of the businessman who liked the shaver so much he bought the company, Glenn and Meredith became so passionate about the Echuca bakery that they offered to buy it!

Tom's philosophy is to encourage and assist others to achieve their dreams, so a deal was struck. Glenn has also been appointed to the board of the expanding Beechworth Bakery group of bakeries.

Tom said that having created Australia's most famous bakery in Beechworth, he is keen to see the business grow. There are now four bakeries under the Beechworth Bakery banner, with more planned.

The launch of the Echuca Beechworth Bakery as a franchise commenced at 11 am with guests invited to enjoy coffee and bakery delights. The dynamic Tom O'Toole was a guest speaker.
