Beechworth Celtic Festival
This 3 day event is held annually on the second weekend of November,
in historic Beechworth, North East Victoria. We will celebrate our
Celtic past, present and future. Our festival offers a wide ranging Celtic
experience to delight young and old. This year, 2007, we are getting back to
grass roots and hope to see some old and new faces in Beechworth at our
festival. |

Opera in the Alps
WORLD RENOWNED SOPRANO AT BEECHWORTH
Australian Music Events is proud to
present celebrated international soprano, YVONNE KENNY to Opera in the
Alps 2008. She will be joined by Australia’s tenor sensation ROY
ALEXANDER BEST, a 100-voice chorus and 50-piece orchestra led by one of the
brightest young conductors of his generation, BENJAMIN NORTHEY.
Staged on the
picturesque grounds of La Trobe at Beechworth, Opera in the Alps has
become firmly established as one of regional Victoria’s cultural highlights
since its inception in 1996. Audience members can expect an evening of sensory
delights as they enjoy favourites from
opera and theatre under the stars and savour some of the
region’s finest gourmet food and wine which are sold at outlets prior to the
commencement of the concert.

Golden Horseshoes Festival

The Golden
Horseshoes Festival, one of the most popular annual events in regional Victoria,
returns to Beechworth from Good Friday 21 to Easter Sunday 23 March 2008.
Come and join The Grand Parade,
featuring special guest commentators, comedian John Walker and entertainer, Lazy
Harry and featuring the inaugural Beechworth Bakery Perpetual Trophy for Best

Harvest Festival
Beechworth is
preparing to serve up a feast of mouth-watering local fare with the
return of the annual Harvest Celebration on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May 2008.
Now in its 15th year, the event is a gourmet’s dream, highlighting the renowned
wine and produce of this blessed region at one of the most glorious times of the
year to visit.
